Tasting Notes

A remarkable wine of style, sophistication, exceptional balance and drinkability. Its dusty, musky bouquet of red cherries, raspberries, blackberries and restrained cedar/chocolate oak slowly reveals exotic spices, dark chocolate and suggestions of smoked meats. It's silky and supple, almost fragile, with a perfectly fresh presence of pristine small dark fruits knit with a faint stalkiness and fine, dusty tannins. Long, supple and very reserved, it finishes savoury, with smoky suggestions of cloves and cinnamon. A great wine, which shields its viognier component beautifully. Jeremy Oliver
