Tasting Notes

Moderately saturated red-ruby color. Blacker fruits on the nose than the Petite-Chapelle, complicated by licorice, minerals and game. At once sappy and energetic; less sensual in its texture than the Petite-Chapelle but more refined, delineated and light on its feet. In a more youthful style, delivering intense, vibrant flavors of cassis, redcurrant, raspberry and spices. The very long, slowly mounting finish displays outstanding class, with the late-arriving, tooth-dusting tannins quite firm but utterly suave. Stephen Tanzer
