Tasting Notes

Both crushed and whole-bunch fruit, pressed, fermented in stainless steel with neutral yeast, left 10 weeks on lees, not fined. A marvel! So fully formed in its youth and delivering outstanding deliciousness. The maker balances ripe riesling fruit – white nectarine, grapefruit, Delicious apple, lime – with racy, cool-climate acidity to deliver a wine complex in flavour, warm in texture and lively in personality. It's quite a feat. Tasted January 2022. Jeni Port for James Halliday

The staple Crawford River riesling. A beauty. Quite a savoury release with hazelnut and cashew like nuttiness rolled through soft green apple, nectarine notes, pulpy grapefruit and fine, talc-like minerally characters. Excellent length, concentration and mouth-filling pleasure. This isn’t a skeletal release but one of lavishness and freshness hand-in-hand. Really, really good. 95 pts Mike Bennie Winefront
