Tasting Notes

Medium to deep red colour with a tint of purple, the bouquet ferrous, ironstony, earthy and savoury. The wine is full-bodied and texturally superb, with fleshy extract galore and drying, savoury tannins that coat the mouth and run the entire length of the palate. A powerful wine that cries out for food. It's very long and satisfying, an excellent nebbiolo indeed. 96pts Huon Hooke

Tightly wound, tense and bright, sour cherry, black tea, cranberry tang, a faint nutty creaminess, very young and perky with tannins that ripple with black tea character and a mouth-watering freshness. It’s pent up stuff here, lots of detail, layers of Chinese five spice, green herb, that red fruits character going strong. Feels built for a very long haul. Delightful now, though, albeit perhaps tough with tannin for some maybe...though not for me! 95+pts Mike Bennie - Winefront
