Tasting Notes

Excellent purple-red; a mix of blackberry and black cherry aromas lead into a medium- to full-bodied palate; the structure is more evident than on the Hill of Grace (but, then, the wine is 2 years younger); with hints of bitter chocolate, the palate moves decisively to the blackberry spectrum, the screwcap guaranteeing a very long life; 90-year-old ungrafted vines. Tasted July 2011. James Halliday
