Tasting Notes

From the oldest vines on the property. The very cool climate invests the wine with a freshness and delicacy that is remarkable, especially the way it has absorbed its new oak contribution. Great value. Tasted August 2020. James Halliday

Winery note - The oldest vines on the Home Hill vineyard provide the fruit for this Reserve Chardonnay. A warm, dry year resulted a depth of citrus and white stone fruit flavours while the natural cool-climate of the region ensured a focused, linear acidity. Lemon meringue, white flowers and some hint of shortcrust pastry match beautifully with new French oak on the palate to create a delightful balanced cool-climate chardy.
