Tasting Notes

A mature yet very fresh and utterly stunning nose of wet stone, brioche and baked apples. There is equally wonderful complexity to the expansive, concentrated and impressively textured mineral-driven flavors that display length to burn. This is one of the finer examples of this wine that I have tasted from Leflaive and I just kept marveling over the seemingly endless aromatic nuances as it kept changing and evolving in the glass for almost two hours. This is an extremely impressive effort that is drinking perfectly now though appears to have the legs to keep on going for another 10 years. Multiple bottles tasted with similar results save for a bottle tasted in Burgundy in November 2016 that was mildly oxidized. Allen Meadows
