Tasting Notes

The elite wine of the Longview family, with the best blocks separately vinified with 15% whole bunches included. Sophisticated shiraz weaving together dark fruit with a subtle baked-blackberry-pie note. Balanced, structured oak and tannins in play, every element in harmony as the wine lifts with energy and interest in the finish, yet with a sense of reserved manners at every turn. 95pts Tony Love for James Halliday

This is a smoking good shiraz from this excellent vintage. Smooth but with a grainy texture that is so appealing. There’s a mix of ripe plum and slightly prune-like aromas with underlying spices and light toastiness. The oak, tannin and fruit weave is superb, contributing to that smooth seamless feel. An elegant style reflecting cooler climate influences from the Adelaide Hills. 95pts Ray Jordan
