Tasting Notes

The 2009 Echézeaux comes across as tightly wound, a sign that bodes very well for the future. The wine begins to grow in the glass as the fruit gains volume and pure textural richness. Firm tannins frame an intense, powerful finish laced with tar, licorice, sweet spices and smoke. The Echézeaux's best days lie many years from today. Readers who can wait will not be disappointed.
