Tasting Notes

No matter how you approach the wine, it’s excellent. It reeks of Aussie bush, sour-sweet tang of Davidson plums, darker fruits, fennel, sweet anise, pepper and wild mint. It’s firm and chewy to taste but yields with that rich, choc-berry fruitiness underlying. Tannins are ferrous and earthy, strapping in the supple flow of ripe, garrigue-tinged fruit. It stretches slowly into the distance. It’s got a pulse, tension, long term feel, yet I want to guzzle in youth too. It’s great. Mike Bennie
