Tasting Notes

Boysenberry ripple, a little pepper, sweet herbs, that signature ferrous Marius smell, subtle vanilla nougat oak in there – perfumed – spicy biscuits too. Medium to full bodied, plenty of flavour with strong dense tannin – almost gummy / sticky – some red fruit brightness, very slight wash of warmth through it, then this lovely fresh berried flavour in the finish and plenty of graphite tannin drag to straighten it up. Really good to drink now, even though it’s a pretty muscular iteration of Simpatico. Gary Walsh
