Tasting Notes

Tarry, earthy, boysenberry, blackberry, very spicy, dried rose, pretty in a rugged way; a garrigue aftershave? Medium bodied, a nutty pecan and praline thing going down, energy and character, an almost glycerol texture, with resolved and ripe tannin, beautiful backlit acidity, and a tacky wet paint tannin finish of fine length. It’s vinous. And forgive the blasphemy, almost has a Pinot Noir character about it. Likely to be a bit of a crowd-pleaser with it. Gary Walsh
