Tasting Notes

An exceptionally pretty and ripe nose mixes maturing fruit aromas of plum, black raspberry and hints of violets along with background nuances of iron-infused earth. There is fine richness to the round, elegant, pure and mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that possess good mid-palate density, all wrapped in a lingering and impressively persistent finish. Initially this is still fairly tightly wound but with 30 to 40 minutes of air it relaxed and was relatively open and accessible. For my taste, I would suggest holding it for another 2 to perhaps 4 years but at this point it would be no particular vinous crime to enjoy a bottle now. In a word, lovely. Allen Meadows - Burghound
