Tasting Notes

Hand-picked from the Ivanhoe Vineyard, 50% whole bunches, open-fermented, matured for 20 months in French barriques (45% new). The fruit flavours are red, but there are exotic aromas and flavours within that broad category, not the least the spicy, savoury tannins with that defining Hunter Valley mark of fresh earth. One of those wines that get better each time it is retasted.
