Tasting Notes

(90% new oak): Healthy ruby-red. Lovely oak-spicy lift to the aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, violet and herbs. Sweet and quite refined on the palate, showing terrific finesse for young Clos Vougeot. Here the saline minerality nicely complements and frames the wine's dark fruit flavors. This very young, aristocratic Clos Vougeot finishes with substantial building tannins and outstanding persistence. Yet more evidence of how the warm 2015 growing season favored Clos Vougeot.
