Tasting Notes

50% chardonnay from Cramant and Avize; 45% pinot noir from the northern parts of the Montagne de Reims; 5% pinot meunier from Dizy. The dominant straw and hay aromas are chardonay-driven and it's quite toasty on the palate as well as nose, with lots of brioche character. There are floral, peach, spice and almond notes. Creamy mousse of fine bubbles; silky smooth texture and marvellous acidity. Long and beautifully textured. This promises to build more bouquet with more time in the cellar. A refined, reserved, understated wine. Huon Hooke
