Tasting Notes

♥ OUTSTANDING - BURGHOUND | Visible but reasonably well-integrated wood sets off cool and airy red berry fruit aromas that carry both earth and sauvage undertones, both of which can also be found on the rich, full and precise yet overtly muscular and powerful flavors that culminate in a naturally sweet and driving finish where, like the Combe Aux Moines, there is noticeable wood influence. This should be excellent if allowed to have 10 to 12 years of cellar time first. I would again note that there is ample oak influence at present and thus this would not be a particularly good choice to drink young.
