Tasting Notes

Hand-picked fruit, destemmed, 12-day ferment, 10 days post-ferment soak with vessel sealed; matured in French puncheons (25% new) for 11 months. Vivid crimson purple, slightly deeper than that of its siblings. The bouquet is extremely complex, with satsuma plum, dark cherry and a crescendo of spices, the palate as elegant as it is intense, and throwing in a pinch of savoury tannins. 97pts - JAMES HALLIDAY
