Here there is a similar mouth feel to the Bonnes Mares with a bit more muscle in evidence on the overtly powerful yet velvety and imposingly-scaled flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the slightly firmer and just as impressively persistent finale. This youthfully austere and ultra-serious effort is one of those "buy and forget you own it" wines as it's going to be very long-lived. Allen Meadows
