Tasting Notes

The idea behind Huldufolk is to highlight something special in the winery that warrants its own bottling. It's not static - this a two-barrel blend of clones 114 and 115 - given that, 1 new French barrique in the mix. A most unusual aroma of lavender-soap followed by rhubarb and ripe stems with oak spices. Raw silk-like-tannins ensue and the palate reveals depth, but isn't expansive with more sweet cherry and pippy accents. Unfurls by the minute. Jane Faulkner for James Halliday
