Tasting Notes

An ode to an Alsatian Edelzwicker, this is a magical potpourri of flavours and textures. In fact, it is the best blend of this ilk tasted from these shores and trust me, there are more than you may think! Limpid in the glass, the nose is an autumnal fruit bowl with gewurtz's hedonism nicely contained and folded into the meld. Hints of frangipani, lychee and spice, though, are lingering in the background. Mellifluous. The texture is a rich tapestry, unfolding in layers across the mouth. I have no idea what this costs as I taste it, but it deserves to be expensive. A profound white. Tasted March 2020. Ned Goodwin for James Halliday
