Tasting Notes

A big, intense wine, the 2005 Barolo Lazzarito is simply stunning. Huge and dramatic on the palate, the 2005 boasts serious intensity and structure, with more than enough fruit to fill out its large, ample frame. A host of mineral and savory notes develop with time in the glass, but the 2005 is incredibly fresh and primary. As always there is a noticeable sheen of new French oak, but the wine handles it very well. Today, the Lazzarito is a real knock-out. Antonio Galloni
