88% cabernet sauvignon, 7% petit verdot, 5% malbec, crushed and destemmed, fermented with 33% left on skins for 4 weeks, matured for 14 months in French oak (40% new). This wine has a scented, spicy nuance to the base of cassis that adds a dimension to the flavour, yet leaves the wine not even medium-bodied, giving it grace and not making demands on the consumer.
