Hailing from a steep, historical single cru in Castiglione Falletto, this legendary bottling is drawn from remarkably old vines averaging 85 years of age. The superb 2019 vintage yielded a classic, long-maturing Nebbiolo, shaped by an extended growing season that balanced powerful concentration with high-toned precision. Vinified with a lengthy maceration before aging for two years in large traditional casks (botti grandi), the wine displays a brilliant translucent garnet appearance.

The bouquet is highly perfumed and complex, gradually unfolding with dried rose petals, orange blossom, and wild strawberries, underpinned by intricate nuances of campfire ash, pine, and smoky woodland bark.

On the palate, it reveals a medium-to-full body with immense structural drive, where a vibrant, citrusy acidity sits alongside a tight, backward core of firm, grainy tannins.

Critical praise is spearheaded by Decanter's Aldo Fiordelli, who awarded the wine a stellar 96 points, observing that the "structure and concentration are perfectly woven and poised, giving to this cru terrific balance which will count for ageing".
