Tasting Notes

Red & black fruits are earth sprinkled & sand sweetened , & there are violet notes here too , plus a little subtle spice . On the palate the wine is deep , firm structured & authoritative ;that spice seeps into the tannins , and that earthiness is back on the finish of this ample , almost savoury red burgundy. A wine for the cellar for fortunate purchasers. Winner Decanter World Wine Awards 2021 Best in Class – 97 Points & Platinum Medal

A mentholated top nose is present on the moderately oaked liqueur like aromas of dark current ,warm earth & leather. The sleek , elegant & attractively refined flavours posses excellent depth on the lingering finish that tightens up significantly as it sits on the palate. This is potentially outstanding and a wine that should repay 15 to 20 years of cellaring. In a word excellent 92-94 ( Outstanding Top Value ) Allen Meadows- Burghound – April 21
