Tasting Notes

♥ OUTSTANDING - BURGHOUND | The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru has a rip-roaring bouquet of feisty raspberry coulis, wild strawberry and plum aromas, hints of kirsch and tar emerging with time. Rich but controlled. The palate is very well balanced with a fine line of acidity, quite plump in the mouth with hints of clove and orange zest. There is real depth and group here, a lovely roundness towards the sensual finish with sufficient energy to suggest it will give another decade of drinking pleasure with ease. Tasted May 2019 at Bistro de l'Hôtel in Beaune. Neal Martin
