Tasting Notes

The 2018 Rosso di Montalcino is sweetly spiced and floral, with plumb strwaberry complemented by hints of cinnamon and clove. It's silky and vibrant, ushering in juicy ripe cherries and raspberries over a core of zesty acids. There's so much concentration of primary fruit herethat it actually coats the palate, yet balance is maintained throughout. Hints of licorice lingerover a bed of gentle tannin, well framing the expression. This is a great introduction into the Cupano style, which should be enjoyed over the next three to four years.
