Tasting Notes

Hand-picked, open-fermented, basket-pressed and matured in French barriques. The deep colour heralds a Clare Valley cabernet of rare distinction and identity. Its blackcurrant fruit strides out confidently like the Pied Piper of Hamelin, with very positive cedary oak and savoury tannins following in perfect step. Other than Wendouree, this has to be at the top of the cabernet tree in Clare. James Halliday
