Tasting Notes

Bright, medium yellow colour with a good mousse of fine bubbles. The bouquet is many things with nothing really dominating: roasted nuts, toasted bread and a particular nutty savouriness that may come from a proportion of barrels. This character is also apparent on the palate, where it's savoury and dry, smooth and refined, mellow and long, the toasty aged characters mingling with elements of honey and poached peaches on the middle and back-palates. Great harmony and length. The Comtes trademark youth and refinement are here.
