Ruby red. A fragrant bouquet emanates from the glass of violets and iris, dark cherry and blueberry fruit, brick dust and a hint of rusty nail. In the mouth the wine is concentrated and focussed, tautly structured with the fruit supported by a quite formidable layer of ripe tannin before drawing to a lengthy conclusion.
