Crafted by acclaimed winemaker Michael Dhillon, this exceptional cool-climate release highlights the distinct, terroir-driven elegance of the Macedon Ranges. The 2024 vintage was shaped by a cool season with near-perfect autumn ripening conditions, allowing for an expressive balance of purity and freshness. Sourced from estate-grown fruit utilizing a combination of the historic 1988 Original Vineyard plantings and the 2001 Kaye Vineyard block, the fruit is destemmed and wild-fermented in small open vats before spending 10 months maturing in French oak barrels.

In the glass, it presents a brilliant ruby hue, unfurling with immediate, high-toned aromatics of red cherry, wild raspberry, and redcurrant, beautifully layered with notes of dried herbs and a subtle forest floor complexity.

On the palate, the wine transitions seamlessly into a supple, fresh, and deeply harmonious core of pure fruit.

The texture is notably silky and refined, underpinned by bright acidity and a lacy framework of fine-grained, fine-boned tannins that provide structure and a sophisticated finishing flourish. In an official winery note, the estate highlights that this Pinot Noir is "expressive yet restrained, ideal for drinking now or cellaring over the next decade." Echoing this praise in a leading professional assessment, JamesSuckling.com awarded the vintage 95 points, celebrating its plush mouthfeel and exquisite balance of floral lift and savoury undertones.
