This monumentally structured prestige cuvée beautifully highlights the hallmarks of the legendary 2008 vintage, where a cool, slow growing season preserved high acidities and instilled an exceptional, long-term ageability into the fruit.

Radiant in the glass with a brilliant hue and an incredibly fine, pinpoint mousse, the wine unfurls with highly enriched, multi-layered aromatics of golden apples, warm patisserie, toasted hazelnut, and delicate whispers of charred wood.

On the palate, it exhibits an intense, full-bodied presence that seamlessly balances racy, mouthwatering acidity with a chalky, mineral-driven focus and structural grip. Spending 14 years maturing on its lees under natural cork, this "Recently Disgorged" gem retains spectacular freshness alongside mature complexity, culminating in a bone-dry, endlessly expanding finish defined by clean, saline precision.

In his near-perfect assessment, critic James Suckling lauded its breathtaking profile, writing that the wine is "so tangy and energetic with sizzling acidity and creamy tannins."
