Hailing from Montalcino’s legendary five-star 2019 vintage, this rare Riserva represents a pinnacle of meticulous manual selection from Castello Romitorio’s oldest, high-elevation northern plots.

The exceptionally balanced growing season—marked by a slow vine development that perfectly preserved Sangiovese's natural brightness heading into summer—yielded fruit of unparalleled energy and depth.

In the glass, it radiates a rich crimson hue, unlocking an intense, dark concentration alongside highly expressive aromas of ripe cherry, leather, tobacco, and delicate spice.

On the palate, the wine effortlessly bridges immense power and impeccable refinement, framing its core of rich blackberry and dark fruit with an overlay of savory grilled herbs, blue flowers, and an aromatic hint of barbecue smoke. An extensive, slow maturation period has sculpted an opulent, texturally soft profile that manages to remain beautifully seamless on the palate.

Formally recognized by Raffaele Vecchione of WinesCritic.com as a highlight of the vintage, this exceptionally built cellaring piece is characterized by an structural framework of "austere, well-extracted tannins" that anchor a long, persistent finish.
