Tasting Notes

Once again there is plenty of smoky character suffusing the slightly cooler aromas of green apple, lemon rind, spice and a hint of exotic tea. There is excellent cut and solid mid-palate concentration to the markedly more mineral-driven flavors that possess an even sleeker mouth-feel, all wrapped in a chiseled, youthfully austere and impressively long finish that displays focused power. This is quite tightly wound and a wine that is going to need at least some patience. Sweet spot 91-94 Points (Outstanding) - Allen Meadows Burghound

A pure even lemon yellow. The bouquet has a class which the straight bottling cannot aspire to. I keep going back to it. To have this class while retaining the body of a fine Charmes is impressive. A broad base of pure white fruit, perhaps just a touch too oaky for the moment, but that is the house style. Drink from 2030-2037. 92-95 4 Stars - Jasper Morris MW

Intense, citrus aroma; creamy macadamia nut on the attack. It’s concentrated but focuses across the palate to become much more mineral, with a silky/salty finish. Really pushes through. 2027–35. 94-95 Points - World of Fine Wine, Sarah Marsh MW
