Standish

One hand. Three sites. Six seasons.

Erin Larkin of the Wine Advocate put it best: Standish works like a Burgundian producer. One grape, read across different sites, soils and elevations. No declassified fruit. No flow-on between cuvées. Make or break, every season, on every vineyard.

That is what makes a Standish vertical unusually revealing.

Dan Standish is a sixth-generation Barossan who founded The Standish Wine Company in 1999 while working at Torbreck. More than 25 years later, the philosophy remains remarkably consistent: own-rooted vineyards, natural fermentation, foot-treading, basket pressing, and wines bottled unfined and unfiltered. The details are adjusted to the season, but the hand behind them remains unmistakable.

So these are not simply six bottles. They are six Barossa seasons made legible; the same vineyard, the same winemaker, and vintage variation laid out side by side.

Standish leaves the winery by allocation. Bottles go out in ones and twos, and over time they are opened. Complete consecutive verticals rarely come together.

We have assembled twelve sets of each vertical, spanning six consecutive vintages. They are available now, until allocated.
