As announced on Thursday, 12th August 2021, Yarra Yering has taken out not one but two amazing accolades at this years awards. Yarra Yering was named James Halliday's Wine Companion Awards "Winery of the Year" and proceeded to go on and take out "Wine of the Year" with the 2019 Yarra Yering Dry Red No.1 Cabernet (released 2022). An amazing double that keeps Yarra Yering in the top echelon of Australian wines having already won Halliday's "Winemaker of the Year" back in 2017.
For anyone wishing to secure the 2022 Wine of the Year (2019 Yarra Yering Dry Red No.1), we are guaranteeing an allocation of this wine on a one for one basis for any purchases of 2018 Yarra Yering wines from our current collection.
Yarra Yering is one of the oldest and most beautiful vineyards in Victoria’s Yarra Valley with 28 hectares of vines located at the foot of the Warramate Hills. Established in 1969 by Dr Bailey Carrodus, the 1973 vintage saw production of the first vintage of Dry Red Wine No. 1 and Dry Red Wine No. 2. Yarra Yering quickly gained an international reputation for quality and individuality and paved the way for other Yarra Valley wineries.
