Yarra Yering
“What winemaker Sarah Crowe has done with the Yarra Yering range of wines is really quite out there in terms of its scope, its elevation, its consistency and its comprehensiveness. She’s simply made everything here better. The Dry Red No. 2, made essentially with shiraz, is Exhibit A. It’s polished, it’s pure and it’s joyously persistent.” – Halliday Wine Companion Red Wine of the Year 2025
Since the first vines were planted in 1969, Yarra Yering has always been one of the most distinguished names within the Australian fine wine scene. Dr. Bailey Carrodus built a winery and set a benchmark for elegance that stood for nearly half a century. In the last decade Sarah Crowe has picked up the mantle and taken the brand to even loftier heights. With 2023 being a spectacular cooler season in the Yarra Valley, this is a vintage not to be missed!
The latest release arrives with one of the country’s highest honours: the 2023 Dry Red Wine No. 1, named Halliday’s Cabernet Sauvignon of the Year with a near-perfect 99 points.
This standout vintage is now available, headlined by the Dry Red No. 1 and flanked by its defining stablemates: the 98-point Dry Red Wine No. 2, the 97-point Underhill Shiraz.
We don’t expect our small allocation of the No 1 to last long at this stunning price – first in best dressed!
