Tasting Notes

Generous wood frames an elegant, pure, airy and sophisticated nose that consists of essence of black cherry, spice and floral aromas. There is an almost pungent minerality on the detailed, sappy and powerful big-bodied flavors that possess a wonderfully appealing texture on the wonderfully long and slightly warm finale. This is impressive but it's exceptionally ripe, indeed to the point where there isn't quite the same vivacity compared to the other grands crus in the range. Still, if your taste runs to lavishly opulent and seductive Musigny, this is one to hunt for. Allen Meadows
