Tasting Notes

Vibrant green; the power and extreme complexity of the bouquet literally leap out of the glass, yet the palate lifts the bar further, eerily like a Grand Cru White Burgundy ? Chevalier Montrachet comes to mind. The mouthfeel is staggeringly deep, yet full of energy, driving the wine through to an exceptionally long finish. This will surely rival the ?96 Giaconda Chardonnay, its drink-to date ultra-conservative. 98pts. James Halliday for Halliday's Wine Companion.

The bouquet is restrained, with relatively little reduction showing today; the wine is taut and reserved, refined and elegant, with tremendous length and engaging complexity. A superb chardonnay that has aged beautifully. Tasted April 2024. 97pts. Drink 2024-2029. Huon Hooke for Real Review.
