Representing the milestone thirty-fifth release of this legendary blend, the 2024 Gaia is sourced entirely from the isolated, high-altitude estate vineyard perched at a wind-swept 560 metres in the Clare Valley. Composed of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Cabernet Franc grown biodynamically on rocky soils, this 13.8% ABV bottling captures the superb varietal precision of a remarkable growing season.

Encapsulated under a premium screw cap to ensure flawless preservation, it reveals an exceptionally vivid, very deep, bright purple colour that stains the glass.

The nose is fiercely intense and proudly fruit-driven, bursting forward with primary aromas of fresh cassis, dark mulberry, and blueberry, seamlessly underlaid by freshly turned earth, violets, sweet pouch tobacco, sage, and a deep sense of crushed-rock minerality.

The medium-to-full-bodied palate delivers an impeccable balance of controlled power and immense energy, showcasing an extraordinary depth of dark fruit and a judicious oak seasoning.

A masterclass in structural harmony, its savory weight is detailed by a leafy delicacy that provides spectacular space within the wine.

Evaluating the release at a magnificent 98 points, Huon Hooke of The Real Review celebrated its majestic, definition-driven poise, highlighting that "the intensity, concentration and precision are all evident in the mouth as well, with extreme depth and penetration" in a masterpiece that simply oozes class.
