Tasting Notes

♥ DON'T MISS - BURGHOUND | As is often the case chez Boillot, this is not quite as elegant as the Chevalier but it's even more complex and ripe enough to display a discreet hint of exotic yellow fruit along with the more typical mix of yellow and white orchard fruit, stone and spice hints. On the palate this is a huge wine, indeed massive does not overstate the case yet as with the Bâtard there is absolutely no trace of heaviness or undue ponderousness. The flavor impact is really something to behold and this explosive finish does a wonderfully slow but sure build from the mid-palate. In sum, this is most impressive and should evolve slowly for between 10 and 15 years. Allen Meadows - Burghound
