Tasting Notes

Deep, impenetrable purple, grading all the way to the rim; the bouquet sends wave upon wave of blackberry and black cherry fruit, coupled with licorice, to announce the spectacular palate that follows; oak plus touches of licorice and bitter chocolate join forces with the fruits of the bouquet; despite its massive frame, the wine is well-balanced and, cork permitting, has many decades in front of it. Do remember that this is for lovers of full-bodied Barossa shiraz, and is rated for them. James Halliday
