A mildly toasty nose still allows the cool, pure and ripe wild red berry aromas that are liberally laced with earth, game and humus wisps to be appreciated. There is excellent density and punch to the brooding, intense and muscular flavors that exude evident minerality onto the presently linear, rustic and moderately austere finish. This will require a few years to better harmonize but the underlying material is so good that this should ultimately be excellent. Recommended if you have the patience. Allen Meadows
