The 2018 Classic Clare Riesling is a quintessential expression of the Watervale sub-region, emerging from a vintage that delivered "all the hallmarks of Riesling from an outstanding year."

It presents a luminous, bright light-to-mid straw hue in the glass, unfolding with remarkably fresh aromas of dried flowers, concentrated lime, and lemon blossom.

The palate is defined by its taut, highly tensioned structure and intense lemon juice core, balanced by a fine acidic web that provides exceptional energy. According to lead critic Huon Hooke of The Real Review, who awarded the wine 97 points, it is a "great Australian riesling" that possesses "tremendous intensity and persistence" with a finish that is long, dry, and moreish. Intertwined slaty-mineral notes and undertones of talc and saffron add a sophisticated complexity to its powerful, refined frame.
