Tasting Notes

Mast Shiraz has been a positive addition to the Mount Langi Ghiran stable if annual releases. To say the least. This is much lighter than the hulking 2013 release but as we all know, that’s not necessarily a bad thing; indeed the opposite. It’s more of a water colour than an oil painting. It’s succulent, peppery, fine, you’d even call it intricate. Everything about the wine says finesse. The flow of fruit, the weave of fine-grained tannin, the spice, the hint of undergrowth, the juicy length. You can drink this now, but it has a world of maturity to grow into. It’s quite exquisitely well balanced. Wine Front
