Tasting Notes

Spiced sweet strawberry, aniseed and dried flower perfume, a distinct almond and hazelnut character, plus a cinch of orange peel to go. It’s medium-bodied, fresh and spicy, again the orange peel perfume and subtle bitterness through it, with fine brick dust tannin, red fruits and juicy orange acidity, and a long dusty, yet kind of succulent finish. It’s an excellent wine from a tricky vintage, and I reckon you could say it has a classic feel and elegance that should serve it well over the years to come. Date Tasted: Mar 2022.
