Representing the convivial entry point to the prestigious Bolgheri estate, the 2022 Le Volte is a vibrant reflection of a vintage defined by a warm, dry summer followed by restorative late-season rains.

This Mediterranean influence is immediate in the glass, where a deep purple-red hue gives way to a highly aromatic bouquet of raspberries, wild strawberries, and orange peel, underscored by delicate floral notes and a crack of black pepper.

The palate is remarkably balanced, offering a generous, medium-to-full body characterized by fine, silky tannins and an electric, crunchy acidity that lends the wine significant energy and tension.

According to lead critic James Suckling, who awarded the wine 93 points, the 2022 vintage is "very aromatic, with raspberry, orange peel and floral aromas" and possesses a "nice transparency" that leads to a crisp, refreshing finish. Aged for ten months in a combination of old Ornellaia barriques and concrete tanks, the wine achieves a polished structure while maintaining its primary fruit purity and savory nuances of cedar and graphite.
