— TERRA SANCTA MYSTERIOUS DIGGINGS PINOT NOIR 2024 —
James Suckling's 4th best wine worldwide (Top 100 World Wines 2025)
Incredibly intense aromas of cherries, strawberries, peaches, melon and fresh flowers. Medium-bodied with creamy, open-grained tannins and a juicy finish. Refreshing, vivid and vibrant. A pinot noir for today. From a mix of clones on their own roots planted in 1999 and farmed organically. Drink or hold. Screw cap. [ 98pts, James Suckling ]
— TERRA SANCTA SLAPJACK PINOT NOIR 2024 —
This is perhaps [the] greatest pinot noir I have ever tasted in New Zealand. Aromas of blackberries, dried strawberries, orange peel, spices and graphite are subtle and refined. Full-bodied but not heavy, with perfectly formed tannins that go on for minutes. The tannins are powerful but totally integrated, with polish and poise. It’s rather endless in the finish. Own-rooted Dijon clone planted in 1991. From organically grown grapes. Give this three to four years in the bottle. Best after 2028. [ 100pts, James Suckling ]
— TERRA SANCTA SLAPJACK PINOT NOIR 2021 —
Subtle aromas of strawberry tart and rose petals with hints of graphite and gunpowder. Complex nose. Full-bodied but not heavy, with an agile and floating palate that shows so much character but is always svelte. Fine tannins that integrate with fresh acidity. An intellectual and intriguing pinot. Will age beautifully. Drink or hold. [ 97pts, James Suckling ]
