Tasting Notes

The colour is very deep and youthful with a strong purple tint and the wine smells young and fresh, clean, bright - with dark berry, spice, earth and subtle oak aromas. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, not really a blockbuster, but packed with firm tannins that tend to rule at this juncture. There is a core of fruit sweetness when you go looking for it, and the wine has stacks of charm. An outstanding shiraz. It's worth cellaring, and will live a very long time. Huon Hooke
