Crafted from ancient, organically farmed vines across five high-altitude plots, this exceptional Super Tuscan epitomises a masterclass in elegance over raw power. The cooler 2018 growing season brought higher rainfall, which required meticulous vineyard work but ultimately gifted the Sangiovese grapes with exquisite floral lift and profound structural finesse.

In the glass, it reveals a luminous, radiant ruby hue, unfurling a multi-layered bouquet of sour cherries and wild strawberries interwoven with fresh lilac, crushed limestone, and a distinctive whisper of campfire ash.

On the palate, the wine balances weightlessness with remarkable energy, driven by bright, mouth-watering acidity and a racy, orange-peel-laced mineral structure. The oak profile is masterfully understated—aged for nearly two years in neutral barrels up to 16 years old—ensuring that the fine-grained, silky tannins maintain absolute varietal purity.

This vintage earned a historic, perfect 100-point distinction from leading critic Jane Anson for Decanter, who marvelled at its precision, noting that it "feels light and sculpted and yet has an intensity that skewers you to the spot."
