This aromatic variety offers primary fruit aromas of lemon and lime and orchard fruits like nectarine, apricot, honey-crisp apple, and pear. Besides fruit, you’ll often smell things like honeycomb, jasmine, or lime peel and soap flakes along with a striking aroma similar to petroleum wax or lanolin (like rubbing your hand down a sheep’s back). On the palate, Riesling has high acidity and stunning minerality and can be produced slip-smackingly bone dry, off dry or sweet as well as late-harvest sweet dessert styles…probably the most flavour diverse variety there is!
Renowned wine critic Jancis Robinson calls it one of her "great wine heroes" and says, "This is the wine to drink while writing or reading; it refreshes the palate and sharpens the brain.’"
